What is the CityDoctors Scholarship?

The CityDoctors Scholarship program awards full and partial-tuition scholarships to US citizen/permanent resident students.

  • The demand for physicians is expected to increase as the current physician workforce ages and retires.
  • The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) predicts a shortage of 46,000-90,000 physicians by 2025*.

SGU is committed to helping alleviate this shortage by providing opportunities for students to start their post residency careers in an urban environment.
